So I volunteer in the Alzheimer’s ward and yesterday the residents did some pretty funny things that I must share! We were celebrating St. Patty’s day by having a dance. Some of the women got up and danced with me while others were sleeping or pretending to sleep. There’s this hot guy (well to me he’s hot) that goes to visit his grandma a few times a week and he was trying to get this one lady named Helen up to dance. Helen was “asleep” and he kept telling her that if she didn’t wake up he was going to pore water on her. Well he put the cup of water in her hand and then she dumped it on him! Then the other resident on the other side of him dumped her water on him! It was hilarious! Helen was awake the entire time and heard what he was threatening to do to her! Instead she got him!
Another resident constantly thinks she needs to go to the bathroom. She came up to me and said I need to go shi shi. I’m sitting there thinking what? But I just smiled and said ok where’s shi shi? I found out later that shi shi means poo! Yeah for me!
Hopefully today is as fun as yesterday!
