enrichment

OK ladies....I'm the new enrichment leader (or whatever it's called now) and I need ideas. I know you all have some. Think about your favorite enrichment nights or something you wished your RS would have done. I have a few ideas for a health and wellness thing (Kjell that's where you come in at some point:)) but that's pretty much it. ANY help would be much appreciated! Love you all!!!:)

Ooh, good points. In our ward, self-reliance type topics are popular. Like learning to bake bread or make jam, cutting hair, budget, plan food storage, etc.

We were supposed to have an enrichment where one of the brothers in the stake was going to come and do a scripture study workshop (going over great ways to study and mark your scriptures, you know, with colored pencils). And I was so excited, I made little invites for everyone and tied each one to a brand new colored pencil....of course, it keeps getting postponed, so I can't tell you how it went.

I loved doing mini book clubs. Remember when Skye and I had one with Stiffy because no one else showed up? Classic!

I like activities where we go out and do something. Go to a museum, park, whatever. Also, I love when there's good food involved :). Here are some of the recent ones in our ward: service project to elderly, game night with YW, budgeting and financial planning, writing your history, making healthy snacks, 72 hour kits, family history, temple trip, recipe exchange. Keep them simple too - everyone likes to go to something short that doesn't take up hours of your time! Good luck, you'll do great!

We had a really cool international night where they put up a map and had strings to our names and where we had been and some of us gave little presentations about the different cultures we had experienced and what made them so different and so cool. And then of course there was good international food that people volunteered to make for the activity. So fun! I loved it.
